This year marks the 32nd annual Burlington Discover Jazz Festival. Melodious sounds can be heard drifting through the streets, particularly throughout the downtown area. In addition to big name acts at the Flynn Theater and club venues, local live jazz can be found at restaurants all week as well as performances on the street.
At Juniper, we have a few of our friends back for CD release parties including Audrey Bernstein and the Patricia Julien Project as well as Ray Vega and Tales from the Boogie Down headlining on Saturday night. See the full schedule here.
In celebration of the Festival and in the spirit of jazz, we found and repurposed an old piano a neighbor was giving away. We spruced it up with some cherry yellow paint and a professional tuner so that anyone who ambles down Cherry Street can play a little jazz of their own. Currently outside of our entrance, we invite you to come tickle the ivories any time this week!
