It’s that time again in Vermont. That’s right foliage season is almost upon us. Here is Burlington, many of the trees are about a few weeks or so away from peaking, but elsewhere in the state the bright reds and oranges can already be found. There are some beautiful foliage routes through the Green Mountains that are perfect for a long bike ride or a drive. Some of our favorites are Route 100 through Stowe or up Route 2 through the Lake Champlain Islands. Click here to check out a fun interactive foliage map. We also have some fun fall packages, including apple and pumpkin picking. Check out our website here for more details.
On a related note on being tree-conscious, we have recently started using Eco Promotional Products to provide us with our pens. We choose to use them in part because they plant a tree with every order. Each year, based on one tree planted, Hotel Vermont will help to remove 50 pounds of pollution from the global atmosphere replacing it with life-giving oxygen! Hopefully the Hotel Vermont trees will be as beautiful as they are helpful!
Stay tuned for more fall updates, we will be launching a few fall activities programs that are open to the public as well as our guests. A sneak preview includes Partner’s Talks (people who have helped make Hotel Vermont sharing their story), Vermont Films (works by Jay Craven, Bess O’Brien and others), Knitting Night (learn how to knit or come show off your skills), and some fun theme nights (1920’s night!).
