Summer has finally decided to make an appearance here in the Northeast! Since summer is shorter but here, Vermonters have to pack in the outdoors while they can. Our favorite adventures include hiking two of Vermont’s tallest mountains, Mount Mansfield and Camel’s Hump.
Both mountains offer easier and more challenging trails. Generally, these are good hikes for intermediate
hikers and families with older children as even the less challenging trails are on the longer side.
For those with younger kids or those who are looking for a shorter hike, Mount Philo and Snake Mountain provide a great way to get out and explore. Mount Philo is just a short drive from Burlington and is a fairly quick hike. Snake Mountain is further outside of the Burlington area, but provides some great views of Lake Champlain and the Champlain Valley.
